ESPN's NCAAM Power Rankings are for blue bloods only. Pretty terrible IMO

but AT LEAST we got a mention!!

TOP 16
quote:

Virginia Tech's loss knocked the Hokies out of the rankings, and we'll go with Wisconsin over LSU for the final spot for now. The Badgers fell at Michigan on Saturday, as the Wolverines avenged their lone loss of the season. Ethan Happ really struggled in the second half when he was on the floor, and his supporting cast couldn't make up for it. Michigan State awaits on Tuesday.

I’m fine with that. We don’t have a win as good as Wisconsin over Michigan yet. That could change Tuesday

They can shut them all up by beating UK and UT. Of course the media will find a way to shift the blame.

exactly. if we win either of those i would not be surprised if the narrative becomes how UK or UT had “off days”. no respect smh

If we beat UK at home it would only be their 69th home loss in 43 years.......

Some of the teams that stayed ahead of us yesterday is a joke. Iowa State loses at home to TCU and stay ahead of us. Wisconsin has 7 losses and stays ahead of us.

This team gets very little respect nationally. Andy Katz gave his analysis of the Committee's reveal of the top four seeds as of yesterday, and was asked what team outside of the top 16 is the most dangerous. He mentioned four teams without touching LSU. He had us as high as a 3 Seed in his bracket before Arkansas and after one loss and then going 2-0 in Q1 games, he drops us to the 5 line.

We pick up two wins against the Q1 last week and CBSSports moves us up to 23 in its Top 25, still behind Louisville (7 losses), Iowa, Wisconsin and Maryland.

National analyst don't think much of us, win Tuesday and that should change.

The Big Ten is getting way too much respect. Bunch of sludgy teams knocking themselves around, and the media treats them like they are all playing an NBA schedule.

Wisconsin is not better than LSU. For that matter, who has Michigan State beaten recently? I can think of some really pitiful teams they've lost to. I'm not sure they're better than LSU, but they're 10th?

I could go on, but what's the point.

I guess some of them are scared by us being down 10+ points each of the last 5 games.

Not saying that right for them considering our record, just trying to give reason to the idiots at ESPN. I'll admit, it's hard.

Michigan State lost 3 IN A ROW! They lost to Illinois, and the reason is because they lost their 2nd best player. They are literally a shell of themselves. That should be taken into account. If LSU lost Tremont Waters, we would be much worse. That's what just happened to Michigan State and no one seems to be talking about that

I can't tell if you're defending them for losing a player, or if you are agreeing that they shouldn't be ranked so highly after losing three in a row.

All I know is they lost three in a row, including losses to pitiful Indiana and Illinois. Losing a player is a tough break, but not an excuse to not drop their ranking. LSU has dealt with much worse circumstances, and I think we all know what I'm talking about.

I'm saying it's a joke they're ranked so high. They lost one of their best players for the rest of the season. That should be taken into account, they aren't good anymore

Ok, I gotcha

That was one of those instances were the written word leaves an opening for a different interpretation. Thought maybe you were saying that they they deserve a break for losing that player, and that no one is talking about it.

But yeah, I agree with you. Whether it's because of a player lost, or they just aren't playing well at all, their recent stretch speaks for itself and should have knocked them considerably further down.

Instead, we're seeing the typical "I picked this team to go to the final four, and I won't be proven wrong" mentality from all of the pollsters and media outlets.
