Thought Heisman votes were due on December 2nd.

Makes it sound like Fields still has chance in conference championship game to catch Burrow.

He's going to win it man. There's only a fight for second going on now. Happy for the kid.

Votes are after the championship weekend.
If Joe plays well in the SECCG, he will win. Fields and Young will split the midwestern vote. Those are his biggest "threats" if he has a bad game. I don't think many Heisman voters want to see a OU player win three years in a row so I think Hurts is an extreme long shot.
If Joe leads us to victory vs Georgia it will be a landslide.

No chance in hell.while he’s been impressive with his TDs, his yards are wayyyy too low. Not to mention Young and Dobbins will actually hurt his votes.

He has
2654 yards
37 Passing TDs
1 INT

470 rushing
10 TDs

Joe

4366 yards
44 TDs
6 INTa

248 yards
3 TDs

So Joe has 1712 more passing yards. 222 less rushing yards and TDs are the same.

Joes got the Heisman

If Joe B doesn't win, the Heisman will lose all credibility and become irrelevant like CNN news.

I said this in a different thread and got hammered. People are stupid and don't understand how this works. They might screw Joe.

I would expect a lot of votes will be submitted before the 9th. And those votes will be for Burrow. He is so far ahead, only a major meltdown would stop the train, and I don’t see that happening.

There’s nothing really close to a consensus #2. That’s why it’s wrapped up. It’s too late to build any sort of consensus narrative for ONE other guy.

Neither Fields nor Chase are getting even one vote for the Heisman. Burrow will be unanimous, and everyone else will be splitting second place votes.

how does it work? And who are “they?”

There are 870 Media Heisman voters equally dispersed geographically. And former Heisman winners get a vote.

You think 900+ people are going to conspire to screw a guy?

Just stop when you see this. They still kept Alabama 2 spots ahead of LSU weeks after that win, so arbitrary is the name of the game there.
