Didn't see this Mett Article posted on the first 3 pages. I like Mett's attitude and confidence beginning this season. He at least now recognizes or acknowledges some mistakes from last season. All the best to you Mett.

"There were a lot of chances [downfield] that we had last year that we missed," Mettenberger said. "You can trust me when I say that that's been one of our main priorities in getting better at this offseason."

I love this!

when a quarterback is under duress he throws the ball just as hard as he can at his fartheres't receiver and hope the man catches it if Mett had a slightly weaker arm and he would be a superhero and we might might have an another national championship right now!

I can remember all the times the light was coming on for JJ.

I'm usually a sunshine pumper, but I'm in the Show Me camp when it comes to the quarterback position.

JJ never showed the flashes that Mett has. He also torched Bama's defense to the tune of 298 yards and 2 TDs.

same here. Not too excited at this time. QB play last year was disappointing for the most part. Flashes here and there but overall below par and certainly below expectations. He will have to play pretty poorly to fall below my expectations this year.

Guys, go back and watch the games. Mett wasn't perfect but his receivers let him down with the drops. It was really ridiculous.

Damn. #6Heismans really lit a fire underneath Mett's arse.

I'd bet money out of my wallet that's exactly what lit the fire.

There were drops, but there over throws and plain misses too.

You don't get the 11th best passing efficiency in the SEC by accident.

Little more arc on the ball would do the trick. A goo QB coach can tweak this.

This. Mett has the ability to make every single throw. Not a lot of QB's have the same arm.

I was a big critic of him last year. Mainly because I knew he needed more experience. But now he's a senior, looks way more focused, and has the players around him to do really well.

Landry and Beckham were first year starters last season. Plus we had no big body threat. Now we have a few. IMO we will have one of the best O-Lines in the country. All the pieces are around him to succeed.

Catch this comment posted below Metts' article.

Blame this nickname on Lamin Barrow.

[Danielle Hunter = Robocop.]

"Other intriguing position battles taking place are Dickson and Smith at tight end, Jerald Hawkins and Vadal Alexander at right tackle, Tre'Davious White and Rickey Jefferson for roles in the defensive backfield and Lewis Neal and Danielle Hunter at defensive end. Barrow marvels at Hunter's physique."

“That guy is built like a robot,” Barrow says. “Veins are popping everywhere.”

I know he had ups and downs, but we as a fan base I think expected a bit too much. thing I like is that I believe he owns it, I don't see a lot of excuses out of him! I also like his toughness, kid can take a shot! We might not win them all this year but we are gonna put up one hell of a fight!
