So, here's what everyone wants to know: Who's faster? You or Mingo? SM: Well, in the 40, Mingo's faster, but off the line, I'll have to give it to myself. I kind of come off the ball kind of crazy. I just think my want to beat him makes me faster. I know I have to get off that football or Mingo is going to get that sack first or the tackle first. It seems like a race.

Coach Miles player through and through.

Sam is one of my favorites. I'm always there to watch him get off the bus.

The guy has been through a lot and plays his heart out when he's out there.

I love having him and Mingo as our go to ends.

Pretty special time. Rare when you watch a game to see defensive players featured, like Sam, Mingo and TM...when he was playing.

Montgomery was a surprise commit and has been awesome. One of my favorites every at LSU.

Completely agree.

I read something, when he was being recruited, that the airplane touched town on a clay runway in South Carolina.

The guy is as humble as can be, he's very personable, yet he has a motor that will not stop.

And his older brother, who got him hooked on video games, was shot and killed outside a bar in SC.

That's why he likes the character "Sonic the Hedgehog" so much.

He's always thinking about his brother and that says a lot to me.

We're lucky to have him.

LSU has quite a few well spoken players. It says much about who Coach Miles recruits, and LSU ascending in graduating rates. There are exceptions of course, but by and large a group of guys to be proud of.

We rank 2nd to Vanderbilt with graduating.

They love playing for him.

................and I was MOST impressed with this quote......

quote:

one of my main reasons for coming back and not going to the NFL was because of my degree. I refuse to be out here and let something happen and me not be close enough to my degree. I want to make sure that I have a complete alternate choice if something happens and I cannot play football. I want the right networking information if something happens in football. I had to make sure all ends were covered so if football does leave me early I'll still have income and I'll still have networking I can do and I want to do as far as being a human being working a 9-to-5.

Now THAT, is what I'm talkin' about!

All I know is that third man, no matter who it is, it's going to add on some extra pressure for that tackle coming in because we have three powerful forces, plus, the young guy Chancey Aghayere.

He does realize that the young guy is a 5th year senior?

I'm glad he is a tiger. He and Eric Reid sound like two very humble guys and make a good impression for LSU football.
