the cotton bowl only host one game each year.
They host like 3 or 4 games throughout the year. They play a a couple during the State Fair of Texas.

Idk if the CB could pull this off in short week trying to scramble to get enough volunteers and crew but there might be a chance they could.
This is a really good point, they do not have the same sort of managed staff like a stadium with a home team. It will be interesting what they say.

Maybe not BUT it has not officially moved from Houston yet. I would say Cotton Bowl would be best alternative.
Folks I know in Houston are not flooded and have their electricity.
Dude, seriously... SHUT UP. The damage to Houston is catastrophic and all of the water is not gone. Are you going to bring in volunteers from some other place to work the game? Or are you expecting the people there to stop gutting there homes to go to work for your amusement?
The reason it's not officially announced that Houston is not the location, is because they want to make ONE announcement once the new site is determined.
Now please... STFU about a GAME in Houston.

Yes, it does.

Renovations to the Cotton Bowl in 2008 expanded the seating capacity to over 92,000 by encircling the upper deck. The $50 million renovation also included replacing all the seats, a new pressbox, luxury seats, video/scoreboard, lighting and concession upgrades.

I just don't understand you logic here... a natural disaster just hit the city and you think they give a crap whether a football game is played there......

They gonna change it to a day game? That's in the ghetto
FYI, possibly more than 50% of the starters may come from what you call "the ghetto". That doesn't stop your ultra-rich arse from hoping they sign with LSU or keep your silverspoon from giving up 75% of your life to watch them play and post online about it. You're more of a POS than you think the people in the ghetto are. Two-faced hypocrite that'll be watching the game from your couch. So it shouldn't matter if it's played on the moon. You're more ghetto than you realize.

Probably best not to comment if you have no idea what the hell you are even talking about.

NRG Stadium Remains Undamaged by Flooding
They haven't even moved the Texan's game for Thursday night yet.

The Texans' preseason game against the Cowboys remains scheduled for Thursday night at NRG Stadium, but appears to be unplayable because of the severe weather conditions and travel logistical issues that would have to be ironed out for the teams to get there.

No decision has been made at this time about the site of the Texans' fourth preseason game, but it won't be a surprise if the game is held at the Cowboys' stadium.

You couldn't even read what you quoted. The Texans are in Dallas this week anyways.
You literally quoted where someone said it wouldn't be unlikely to have the game in Dallas.

ackwoledging a rough part of town makes me a hypocrite? The frick kind of logic is that?
And if the game is in the cotton bowl, I'll be there. I live like 15 minutes north of it.

The Texans are at the Star in Frisco
Posted on 8/28/17 at 11:28 am to dukke v
If there is any way possible to play it in Houston I suspect ESPN is going to do that regardless. They own the game and have the say so.
I suspect they are trying to decide now just how long they can wait to decide whether to move it or to cancel it.
