Hate to see EW V not get drafted. I don't think another year really mattered. He is one of my favorite LSU basketball players due to his energy and hustle. Hope he can get to the G-Leagie or have a great career in Europe. Maybe one day he can make it to the league! Someone please post the giddy up gif.

Yeah he’s a great player, but maybe not what the NBA is looking for skill set wise.

Hope he catches on somewhere as a bunch guy.

There is a rule you can go back to school if not drafted but he did sign with an agent and is most likely will get free agent looks with best option overseas.

Plus LSU doesn't have room on roster.

He’s undersized 4 with no ability to stretch the floor. Unfortunately that doesn’t play in the NBA. If he ever develops a way to be able to play on the perimeter he could get on somewhere in the future.

He will still probably make a lot of money playing basketball. His motor alone is good enough to play overseas.

We will look back in a few years after Will Wade wins a national championship and admire guys like Emmitt Williams who brought us from the bottom all the way to the top and tasting sustained success. He was a phenomenal player for us.

Dude dunked like a mini Shaq

With his skillset and size he is just way too short for the NBA. Not much use in the NBA for 6'5-6'6 centers or true power forwards. He really needed to work on his outside game more than he did here.

He's a 4-year college player but just wanted to get a paycheck to support a baby which I can get.

You know after watching players come to LSU and not always give 100%

seeing a guy like Emmitt who was a 6'6 centered and played 1000% every game, and out work everyone on the court was awesome to see.

His effort vs Florida at home this past season going against blackshear was impressive and that loose ball he got against UGA his freshman year are what makes Emmitt.

You’d make room if he could come back. Laughable comment

One would think playing basketball at a high level program and working towards your college degree would be good enough incentive for a kid who has no shot at the NBA.

That doesn't fix the need money for support right now issues. Some people do not have a great support system to help with childcare. Lots of times this is why there are 3 and done's for football as well, even though its not in their best interest long term.

Draymond Green says hello!

I can see EWV being a role player like Green. Defense, Rebounds and the occasional scoring burst.

Williams is no where near the facilitator that Green is.

This is a bad comp. Green is a way better shooter than Emmitt and is still only an average shooter by NBA standards, but he’s significantly better at stretching the floor than Emmitt with that ability along with his passing and ball handling skills.

The extent of your analysis here: undersized for their positions, big motors. There’s a lot more to it than that my man
