I had a couple surprise tears myself. I cannot explain my happiness seeing the transformation of CEO during this time at LSU. The guy pisses purple and gold and never stops working for LSU. Success is often written in failures. Ed Orgeron deserves every bit of his current success and then some. The sonofabitch drinks dragon blood and was in Roy's home before noon yesterday.

Am I the only guy who tears up over stuff like this?
The look on Coach's face when Burrow handed the game ball back to him.

On the way to to work today I had to say to myself
Coach O is 13-0 and has LSU as the number 1 seed in the CFP
Who would thought this was possible 4 years ago ?

That's always been his MO. At USC he stayed in a hotel outside the athletic facility for 4 years so he could devote his time to the team.
From an LA Times article back when O was not considered for the HC job after his interim stint:
quote:
He returned to Room 112 at the Radisson Hotel — his cramped home for the previous four years — and he wept. He consulted with his wife Kelly. He wept some more. Two hours later, they made a decision that reverberates throughout Trojan nation still.
“My heart and soul were so empty, it was like being a father who is told you can’t have your children anymore,” Orgeron says. “So we decided to go home.”
He held a mid-afternoon meeting with his team, tears everywhere, from players and coach. Then he and Kelly walked out a back door to avoid the media, jumped in an SUV, were driven to LAX, and hopped on a 6:10 p.m. nonstop flight to New Orleans
You can say a lot of things about the guy, but he'll never be accused of not giving his heart and soul to his team and the job.
