Yes, it is very strange that our brand new skinny freshman with no SEC experience did not start over a veteran leader who happened to be a Senior.

I'm not an O apologist, but keeping Brennan at 2nd string was the right call for the season.....trust me, if O had allowed Canada to play Brennan fr the majority of the season and Brennan lost 5 games, the Rant would be screaming bloody murder and why didn't Orgeron step in because after all we had an experienced senior sittin on the bench?
I mean, Orgeron is the Head Coach, afterall
Any sane coach would have done what O did....the fact that he is borderline idiot means that using Etling for the season was a no brainer

I will repeat what I said.
LSU played a fricking game less than two weeks ago and Brennan didnt sniff the field.
But now, 10 days later, ed orgeron said hes one of the best pure passers and a championship caliber qb.

Well I just watched a coach bench a 25-2 starter for a kid with.. no starts in the championship game. I’m fairly certain he’s sane. Well. Maybe not sane. But he’s a freaking winner of 6 championships.

WE are not Bama. Our O line is not Bama's O line and our receivers overall, leave something to be desired.
I get your point, but the times that Brennan was in the game in any meaningful situation, he was less than optimal.

Losing 5 games with a true frosh QB is more forgivable than losing 4 games with a Senior QB. Pays off the following year as well.

And you also have an explosive dual threat QB if knees are healthy again that you'll alienate and make unhappy if he doesn't get proper PT and play in the right offense.
