As much flack as he’s given, keep in mind. He initially said the trenches were depleted and he would fix that. Now we have one of the deepest units OL/DL in recent memory. Also QB has been a concern, but we now have potential in that area and signed another kid who passes the eye test. He is doing what he said he was going to do. If LSU wins convincingly week one against a loaded Miami team then I’d hope people would have a different outlook. However, this site is littered with Insufferable types. Fire away!

This thread definitely won’t be anchored with such a descriptive title.

If you would have titled the thread, "EdO folds foldy flaps" it would have been a much better thread.

Not because your post would have been less stupid, but because your title would have at least warned people that it would be a stupid thread.

Show me something on the field next year and I'll throw O a bone. He doesn't deserve and won't get any kind of benefit of the doubt from me until we see the program take a step forward next season.

If he has a good season then people will have a good outlook.

People have this outlook because we lost some bad games last year and had a relatively bad season.

Miami's OL is weak

On DL they're hoping for Gerald Willis III to be their savior

They're f**ked. LSU is gonna stomp a mudhole in their arse on both lines.

1- Your thread title

quote:

He initially said the trenches were depleted and he would fix that. Now we have one of the deepest units OL/DL in recent memory.

The OLine looked pretty terrible in the spring game.

quote:

Also QB has been a concern, but we now have potential in that area and signed another kid who passes the eye test
.

Harris and Jennings also had potential. None of them looked dominant in the spring game. Burrow hasn't played much either.

quote:

He is doing what he said he was going to do.

Like bring in the best offensive coordinator available and let them coach?

quote:

If LSU wins convincingly week one against a loaded Miami team

I don't think Miami is "loaded."

Enough inconsistencies for you?

Did he bring in the best OC, or a yes man? We'll see...

Very likely OL will be our downfall.

Learn how to "thread title".

Not saying that he didn't say this, but I don't recall hearing about it until after the second embarrassing loss during an embarrassing September last year. What I remember hearing was we were loaded with talent and the only thing holding us back was a competent head coach.

He is doing what he said he was going to do.

Is he? I wasn't aware that Ensminger was one of the best coordinators in college football. And I do remember o saying that he would hire the best and let them coach their units. That's a promise he's already failed to keep.

Yes Siree, Ed O did make some moves that he had promised to make. In my book that means there is no more room whatsoever for excuses. Stakes were already high; in my mind, now they're higher. No excuses!!

He has done a good job at rebuilding the roster imo. He rebounded from the brink last season but he had some horrible losses and not many great wins really. He needs to win this season schedule be damned. He has everything he said he needed to win at LSU. Time to pay the debt or move on
