Though not directly LSU related, Aschoff covered college sports and occasionally LSU for ESPN. CEH’s mom tweeted her condolences today. LINK

He passed away yesterday but regardless this is absolutely heartbreaking. So young and so much greatness ahead of him.

Was it vaping related? I'm not familiar with his case.

Not that I’m aware of.

According to recent tweets he had a virus which eventually turned into multifocal pneumonia. Seems to be just a freak thing

Double lung pneumonia. Died on his birthday which was Christmas Eve. Tough loss. Watch sone of the Saturdays In the South on SEC today. He is all in some of the episodes of the recent years

I met him at the Royal Sonesta hotel bar the night before 1/9/12. He was a super nice dude. Sad story. RIP

Prayers for his fiancée too. ESPN article said they were supposed to get married in NOLA in April. With a last name like Berteau, she has to have a Louisiana connection.

He got pneumonia after working the OSU/Michigan game.
