For murdering Wayde Sims. What a needless crime. Deserves whatever punishment he gets

Was found guilty of 2nd degree murder. Surprised it wasn’t manslaughter.

Good on Will.

Truly sad this happens. Athletes get more attention, but it happens every day.
Good on wade for showing up.

A. Manslaughter is:

(1) A homicide which would be murder under either Article 30 (first degree murder) or Article 30.1 (second degree murder), but the offense is committed in sudden passion or heat of blood immediately caused by provocation sufficient to deprive an average person of his self-control and cool reflection. Provocation shall not reduce a homicide to manslaughter if the jury finds that the offender's blood had actually cooled, or that an average person's blood would have cooled, at the time the offense was committed; or

deaths arising out of fights are often manslaughter. Not sure how case tried, but it seems that jury found that defendant had time to cool down but still chose to shoot. Sad that fist fights are no longer just fist fights.

Or that he was the aggressor and therefore was not provoked.

Definately the agressor. Which is where 2nd degree came into play.

Classy thing for Will Wade to show up. But Wayne looks __________ (fill in the blank).

I’m going with surprised, but could easily be angry.

Damn shame. Can’t imagine what it feel like to lose my son, then have to live it all over again.

Prayers up to the Sims family…

Not sure pointing a finger gun at Wayne’s head is the right move here, Will.

(I’m kidding. I know that’s not what he was really doing but that’s what it looked like at first glance to me.)

The convicted killer is 23 years old and headed to Angola for the rest of his life without the benefit of parole, and rightfully so.

Such a senseless crime that started over some words.
