I can’t recall another LSU player that has more bad pitches called strikes. I know he has occasionally watched third strikes that were strikes but he has been screwed more than any LSU player I can remember. Does anyone else think the same thing?

The 1st pitch of the last at bat was not a strike. Up and in by a lot. I know that’s not the only one…

Yes. He gets rung up on the up and in pitch a lot. His eye is better than the umpire’s talent.

Some of it is he stands so close to the plate so it makes it appear those inside strikes are balls. He can’t get around on a lot of those inside pitches and takes a lot.

He’s not that close to the plate.

But it is probably why he gets hit by so many pitches. If your used to throwing something 2 inches away from his elbow as a strike you’re bound to hit the guy

A lot of up and in for strikes. Up at the letters. He will get it worked out.
