I’m from south Louisiana and only ever heard about the rougarou on my own as an adult. It’s not like non-Cajun Louisianans pass around Cajun folklore all that frequently

If you’re from the bayou area which includes Terrebonne, Assumption, Lafourche parishes ya parrain has told ya numerous stories and have at some point been terrified to go outside as a youngster.
