As everyone knows, you can slow down the rush by using draw plays, screens, etc.. We need to do more QB draws and screens. I would like to see us use an old play, the sprint draw. We have to do what we can do as an offense to stop teams from just teeing off on defense. Good win; let's try to move forward. The freshman lineman are getting better. Deculus is probably a guard going forward; he needs to bend his knees.

Just a type of draw; RB stands back, line mimics pass block, QB sprints back to the RB. Looks like a deep drop with RB as a personal bodyguard, but it's a handoff and the RB sees the openings develop.

Functionally, it's the complete opposite of the Toss Dive.

I think you just described a regular draw play.

I thought a "sprint draw" was one where the QB "sprints" out to one side or the other then hands off. Like in the link I posted above. The LINK looks like a sprint counter draw or sprint misdirection draw. Great play either way and looks like something Canada would do.

Would look better out of shotgun like most draw plays.

Draws and screens work better when they are unexpected. In other words, not on 3rd and 15.
