Turns out DraftKings was wrong for not paying out the run line for the LSU games several of us bet on. I contacted the state police gaming commission and they reviewed the rules and determined the “mercy rule” did apply. He contacted draft kings and within the day I was paid out for my 2 bets I placed. So if you placed a bet for that and want your money get in contact with the state police. This is referencing LSU games that ended in 7 innings for a 10 run rule.

Pretty chickenshit of Draft Kings to attempt to cancel a bet because a team beat another one too badly.

Good info, baw. Can you give a little more specific info about whom to contact, like who exactly you called or emailed? I went back and looked and have a couple of these such bets, too

Same! I went back and forth with them to no avail. The one that pissed me off was a game a couple weeks back with a -9.5 line. When they covered it ended the game and voided the bet. Like wtf…

This is not even close to the same thing as a bet being incorrectly voided by one party.

Am I missing some sarcasm in your post?

You do realize that Draftkings is just being nice to you? They don't have to pay you if you bet the run line. Pretty chicken shite of you to contact the police.

When you bet the run line it specifically says
"For bets to have action, the game must go 9 full innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead)."

For run totals it specifically says
"For bets to have action, the game must go at least 9 full innings (8.5 innings if the home team is ahead), unless the result is already determined, and the game is official.

I'm not saying i agree with it, but they told you the rules of the bet when you placed it. If you didn't like the rules they had, then you should have found another book to make your bet through.

you mean i know how to read?

It literally says what i posted right under your bet when you go to place it.

I said think it's stupid that the bet gets voided for a 10 run rule, but that's what the terms of the bet stated would happen.

Hey dipshit teddy. Maybe if you read the rules about a mercy rule then you would understand I’m right. Since we are out here quoting rules here you go “ Mercy Rule- The result at the time of the relevant league’s “Mercy Rule” call will be used for settlement purposes.”

Pretty chicken shite of you to comment on my post without posting all of the rules. Also why would the gaming commission say I’m right if I was wrong?

But then the next paragraph specifically states that the result at the time of the leagues Mercy Rule shall be used for settlement purposes.

That's new. They didn't put that on the bet screen until after they screwed us with that -9.5 run line against Samford.

If you're sending an email about how to contact the Gaming commission can you shoot it to my email. Got it thanks!

It's literally only a $14 bet that they voided on me but it's still shady and they owe me.

Yes the blurb was only added after this became an issue. These bets were from far earlier. This is what they sent in an email to me

“ I can also confirm that we are planning updates to our rules to ensure that this is more clear moving forward. In the meantime, we have added market blurbs in a user's bet slip to clarify the rule that applies to the wager.”

The terms and conditions are conflicting- they can’t say “games are settled as full games when mercy rule is used” AND “games must go 8.5 innings or longer for run lines/totals to settle”. Which is why some people have had some bets graded a certain way and others have had them graded differently.

I believe most books have been settling with 7 inning games counted as full games, btw. I expect DraftKings to make an update to their terms and conditions with this made clear.
