Before Skip got here, he was only an associate head coach at Miami for eight years under a legend.

Before CPM got here, he took Notre Dame to Omaha once and lost quickly. He was able to get them to eight straight regionals but only one time did they get to Omaha.

So if it is Vitello, we should be excited to see what he can do with all the tools he will be given at LSU vs Tennessee. In other words, he quickly turned around UT and that is not a big time baseball school.

Ron Frazier was the face of the program, Skip was the brains.

All the coaches you mentioned there were on the upswing when they got hired by LSU. So yes, if you dig into their past you can judge them based on their past. CPM wasn't a bum and Skip was a damn good assistant. Anyone familiar with Skip would know he was a major part of that program even if he wasn't HC. Vitello is in similar mold. He was a very good assistant that has done nothing but improve an absolutely awful Tenn program. His entire career has been on nothing but an upward trajectory.

Only thing I can think is the rant doesn’t need convincing to accept Vitello

Vitello is far-and-away the “fan favorite” for the job

This board - myself included - will be ECSTATIC if Vitello is the hire

Skip was a great coach at every level of his career before he got to lsu and Miami made a mistake and didn't hire him as their head coach so he came to lsu. What are u talking about? Skip was very successful.

I wish we had the ability to judge them by their future.

If we can’t judge a coach from his past, we must judge him on on his future. Good God man, what else is there. Woodie has already been in touch with Doc Brown & Marty McFly. All of you guys keeping an eye on Flight Aware are barking up the wrong tree. You need to be on the lookout for a DeLorean.
