for these kids QUITTING.(Opt out...LOL). He has lost complete control and should be fired, no doubt. However, this "quitting" thing is a systemic issue consistent with society today, by-in-large. Quitting nowadays is seen as a viable option to bowing your neck and pushing through. This starts at home. My dad would've met me at the door if I ever tried to quit anything and it wouldn't be to say "you deserve to be happy so if your not...quit". It would've been something alot different and I knew it and would've never even let it cross my mind. This is way worse than just losing kids off a football team!

They wouldn’t be quitting with proper leadership. All his hoo rah is falling on deaf ears and they aren’t motivated

Our program has a massive culture problem of transfers, opt outs, leaving early. It happens in other places as well but not nearly to the same degree as at LSU. A lot of that is on the HC.

I actually think quitting is a viable, smart option. It opens new doors and keeps you healthy to fight another day!

I’ve given careful consideration to your request but I think I’m going to go ahead and blame him anyway. Thank you for your input though.

I'm all for doing what's best for the athlete, but quitting mid season would be a huge red flag for me as an NFL exec.

There are serious issues and then there are young boys needing to coached into men. Sometimes you just have to toughen up. Life isn't easy.

Didn't write this for upvotes. You people that want to blame this on O are part of the "enabling movement". So it's OK to quit because you don't like your boss? It's ok to quit because you don't like your wife? Its ok to quit..just quit..you deserve better...the world is against you...and on an on. You can't have this argument both ways. Either these kids are quitters or not! Don't come on here trashing kids for quitting and then trash me because I blame THE KIDS for quitting! This mentality is part of the problem! Accountability is never learned by blaming others for you giving up!

Yes and yes.

I can’t imagine the person’s life who would answer no to either of those questions. They must be miserable.

Orgeron quit on the players. Based on O's offseason comments saying that the D was better than at any point in 2019 tells me that O had checked out and was only going through the motions. Giving 18 to Curry and Clark was lazy. As both of them have been seeing less and less playing time.
