First, I’ll start by saying the sky isn’t falling (completely) and the Offense can’t possibly be that bad. We will still be able to compete with AU and have a shot to win if our game plan is solid and we make a few big plays. This O benefited from good field position against Miami but still scored 24 points against a really good D. That tells me we have enough talent.

But why in the world would O run the same stuff that got Miles fired . Quick slants, WR screens, RB screens, bubble passes, RPO’s all were supposedly a part of our new offense. Any of those things would’ve been successful against over aggressive defenses and helped LSU’s patch-made Oline protect. Is the offensive staff really that ignorant, is O really so conservative and scared of a turnover that he wants to sit on a 17 pt lead in the 1st ? Is O so paranoid that he wanted to be super vanilla on offense going into AU? People who get paid millions of dollars a year can’t be less intelligent about these things than the common fan like me. In O’s post game he said “ we didn’t want to throw a pic “ when talking about the drive going into half. If we can’t be aggressive against a shite rotten FCS school , he may as well pack his shite cause when we need to make plays against real competition our kids won’t be ready due to the scheme they’ve been in and the lack of opportunities they’ve had . All in all I feel like O is driving the nail in his own coffin by doing the exact same shite as Miles.

Can anyone in the know explain ?? Lol

To understand why this is happening, you have to understand a few things.

1. Ed Orgeron is among the worst coaches in SEC history

2. Ed Orgeron doesn’t know anything about football besides DL play

3. Ed Orgeron is a classic politician. He said all the right things to get the job in 2016, but once he’s in office he reverts back to his true nature. His “dream job” is whatever job will hire him.

4. His true nature is classic hardheaded, ultra conservative, boring football.

Why do you think he constantly talked about wanting the Pete Carroll-era USC offense? That’s all he knows. He doesn’t realize Pete Carroll has been gone from USC for a decade almost.

Justin Vincent couldn't answer the question last night because he said he has seen all those things in practice. Two games in on offense, I was enthusiastic about one and not about the other (last night). Even playing flat on offense, we should be able to move the ball and roll up some numbers on an FCS team. We didn't do that and we showed almost no variety on offense. Game 3 will either give fans optimism or total doom and gloom because there is no hiding anything come next weekend.

Yeah, but I watched that offense many times and they did all kind of creative stuff. Us, not so much. Of course, having Reggie Bush, etc., didn't hurt either. But we don't have slouches playing for us.

O walked into one of the easiest jobs of all time. Literally all he had to do was hire a competent OC and leave the offense alone. score a bunch fo points and put up yards and people would have been happy even if we lost the same amount of games we have.

I don’t know that O is a good coach . But I’d like to think he’s smart enough to know that he will not have a long tenure or success recruiting offensive talent with the stuff we have been putting on the field. Jefferson, Giles , and Chase appear to be the best WR as far as big play ability. In a game like last night I’m giving each of those guys several targets . Even if I have to throw them quick slants or screens because my Oline is garbage.

What you said!

I wish I had been wrong in this post: What is your biggest concern regarding Ensminger?

Can’t say I disagree with a single point in your post.

So he said he have those things in our arsenal? If that’s the case Orgerons paranoia about other teams seeing our plays is absolutely nuts. We have to practice those plays in a live environment to get better for SEC competition.

Call me crazy, but I’m reserving judgment for a few more games.

Yep, he said he has seen the screen game, etc., in practice and isn't sure why we didn't see any of it on Saturday. His only guess was they were holding out on some things until Auburn. We did try to do 1 or 2 screen-type passes against Miami, but I think one was tipped. They couldn't answer why they haven't gotten the ball into Giles hands either. Also, Vincent and Charles said Chase should be on the field 100% of the time because he is a magnificent player just waiting to happen.

Didn't a couple of quarterbacks win Heismans with Carroll's offense? Don't see that happening any time soon at LSU.

Same god damn shite as with Miles. Practice 60 different plays, run 20 of them in games. And the same 20. Over and over.

Same shite.

When all the Fire Miles crowd got their way the only thing I said was be careful of what you ask for. Then here comes the Cocaine Cookie Monster with the job. I hope you guys are happy.

One would think that Coach O and E have been around the program long enough to know how this story ends.

Sounds like Ed is so bad you could put together your own binder and take the job right now. What's holding you up?

This is an attack on you thinking you know everything and not a defense of O.

In fact, this is exactly what he was hired to do. This is why he got the job. Basically O was going to focus on recruiting and defense and turn over the offense to the best OC he could find and not meddle with It. O gets to be HC, LSU saves money by not hiring a real HC, the defense is still run by Aranda, and the offense would be modernized. And if the offense didn’t work out, no one would blame O.

Why the frick O couldn’t just stick to this script is anyone’s guess.

Lack of Control: Pseudo ignorant people like him cannot designate authority because they know they're too stupid to control a smarter, more clever entity.
