I heard that question posed on Kanell and McElroy this morning. I would think yes he deserves to at least go. He has earned it.

I agree completely. Send him. He is by definition one of the most outstanding players in the country

He has not earned it, no! Sad about injury but that's the breaks.
Fournette should have been invited and wasn't.

My tops now would be:
Burrow QB
Fields QB
Hurts QB
Taylor RB
Hubbard RB
and possibly Herbert QB

Yes.

Not sure what condition he’ll be in by then for traveling and just being able to move around though.

Be right at a month give it take a few days depending on when his surgery was. And that’s assuming no follow up procedures are necessary.

No. Injuries have always derailed Heisman trophy contenders. The other players being considered still have two games left to play. I don't think his stats will hold up. It may suck, but that's the way it is.

Tua is getting the same eye test Bama has been getting. Just because he had a good year last year doesn’t get him awards this year. Stop letting espn control your opinion.

To keep it from being a dog and pony show, there should be only one seat for potential winners this year. Why would anyone else be there?

Does anyone think he wins? No, so why send him if even he knows he has no shot.

No one is “sent”.

The top vote getters are invited.

He will very likely be in that top 3-5 that are usually invited.

I think the only part of him that should go is his left ankle and his throwing arm

Absolutely not. Sucks he got hurt but there are more deserving players that will have played an entire season.

The kid got injured, he didn't die. People are going nuts over this. He's a great QB but he shouldn't be immortalized.

As much as I feel for the guy due to his injury, no he doesn't deserve to go.
Just because his career has been good doesn't mean one should be allowed to go to the award ceremony. There are games left to be played and others that are equally deserving.
I didn't realize participation awards made its way to the Heisman front.

Burrow,Fields, Hurts

They count the votes and then decide who to invite.

It seems to range between 3 and 5 invitees.

Dennis Dixon was absolutely a heisman candidate in 2007.

blew out his knee same weekend of year as Tua just did.

ended his season and his candidacy.
