Does the Tiger Stadium student section need a DJ?

Do you think this would keep the kids around a little longer? Rotate songs with the band? It may be worth a try.

Thoughts?

Yes, we needed one when we played Auburn last year - DJ Chark. That's about it though.

Well, something needs to happen. They are not just magically going to start staying the whole game out of nowhere. We all know it's a different generation of student these days. The athletic department is going to have to get creative.

$5,000 drawings at some point past halfway in the fourth quarter?

well, either that or they could just start selling the tickets to folks who actually want them...

To stay at a football game?

What about the rest of the stadium? Police escort pass the traffic drawing?

I really think they're going to have to get innovative. Get cheesy and make it a party atmosphere. Pull out all of the stops. More boom boom speakers, lights, maybe student section only concessions with student prices, dollar Cokes, dollar hot dogs, dollar burgers.

How about winning?

Remember when we were good in the 2000’s and everyone stayed at the games?
Yea that worked too!

No, they just need to show up and support LSU, period.

Just like the generations of students before them...

Not going to happen. We live in a right now entertainment era.

Well then we need to make it up in the rest of the stadium.
The more you hold their hand and pamper to them the more they become needy.
There’s a reason it’s a different generation.

The problem isn’t only the student section, though. It’s a stadium wide problem. That falls on the program and administration.
They have so many things they could address, they just refuse to.

This is not the answer. I was a student in 2011 when LSU went 13-0 in the regular season and folks were still filing out of the lesser games before the half cuz it was 'boring'

Right. Like the rest of the fans stay to the end in half the games.

The west side is half empty at kickoff for most games.

That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

What could be more in the moment than a home game in Tiger Stadium for a LSU student?

How much are student tickets now? No need for a DJ. If the Tiger band isn't good enough for them on a Saturday night then a DJ won't make any difference.

When LSU is winning and if the game is in doubt the students will stay. I would provide better wifi and do more social media stuff on the scoreboard.

What’s the difference between piped in music and a DJ?
So we can hear rave and trap music the whole time instead?
Yea I’d rather them just leave at halftime then.

We need more band and less crap already.

I’ve never been to a sporting event that needed a DJ.

And that includes the LSU basketball games I’ve been to recently.
