All of which who have significant playing time, change your prediction for how the season will play out?
Talking about J Giles, B Fehoko, & T Alexander at other FBS schools, and D Lewis & B Traore at smaller schools.
Or do you look at it as no different than when we normally replace starters?

Our record this year will have less to do with the roster and more to do with the schedule. I'm high on our team, but nobody could escape this brutal schedule. We will do better than Vegas thinks though IMO.

Only one of those is a grad transfer. Two of them came from Texas Tech and sat out for a year. The two from "shitty schools" actually came from JUCOs which is a perfectly normal thing.

Of course it changes things. Experience matters. P5 game experience is a hell of a lot different than practice experience.

Agree with this. I think 8-4 or 9-3.
Miami
Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Auburn
Is a hell of a murderers row.

Agreed. And our coaches will have to game plan better than they ever have in their life to get us through that gauntlet.

Your post is all sorts of screwed up

Well yeah, my point was to not group experience at a FBS school with a school in NYC and a community college in Mississippi.

Your point was obscured by how factually incorrect you were about 80% of the players you mentioned.

Fixed, don't know why I said they were all "grad" transfers
I hope you can forgive me

Why would that change anyone's prediction. It's not new information. Did you just learn about these transfers? It's been said for a year or more that Fehoko is our best dlineman. If that's anywhere near true, that is enormous bc Ed and Rashard are pretty darn good (tho Ed seems injury prone). But it's not new info like I said.

And you forgot Joey Burrows.

I only included those with significant snaps.

If our running game can be any good, which I think we will have the line but the backs are a bit of a question mark at this point, I think we can make hay this year. Burrow looks more than capable of being a legitimate threat to punish defenses that commit to stop the run. I am very optimistic with our receivers and their potential. Front seven looks to be fantastic. We are a pinch thin at corner but the starting safeties and corners are solid, really can't afford many injuries there.
As said, the schedule is rough. I'm not expecting a playoff year out of LSU but I am much higher on this team now than I was 6 months ago.

Bet Saban is glad he doesn't have to play this schedule!

They said the same thing in 2011. Not disagreeing with you, just saying that this team could surprise some people.

Not that I like to defend Saban but he is one of the few coaches who believe the power 5 schools should only play power 5 schools, so I doubt he wouldn't like our schedule...

These are 2 completely different teams. Go look back at 2011 we were preseason number 4. We returned a lot of talent. There wasnt a lot of unproven guys on that team. Brockers and bennie Logan were 2 nice pieces but everyone else had a lot of game time experience at all levels. This year is different there are unknowns everywhere.
