Does the Admin, TAF, and the BOS understand how much discontent there is?

And they just don't care, or is there a disconnect somewhere and they don't realize how the public feels about how the program is being run?

I think TAF found out just how little influence it actually had.

How is this even possible. They pay for everything.

This. I think there could be a fundamental shift with some big donors after this year. Feeling like you "have a say in it" is a big part of why these guys write checks. I can't wait to hear stories of of how this all went down as the big dogs start chirping about the behind the scenes.

The past 2 years could literally be a 30 for 30.

I think they do and don't gave a big rats arse!

Any program outside their goals of " serving humanity" is not their concern.

Then the TAF needs to completely, 100%, cut off the cash flow if they really want a change in leadership.

Money or lack thereof is the only thing that's going to get F King and Alleva away from LSU.

That may very well be true. Admin, Pos (oops) Bos are gambling the TAF does not have the guts to challenge them straight up.

BOS doesn’t care.

In fact, the worse LSU is the better for the actual schools they graduated from and support.

Taxpayers pay for everything, yet a handful of politicians and bureaucrats still make all of the decisions.

As long as the money keeps rolling in and graduation rates are up, they don't care!

I'd be curious to know how many are upset and understand just where the program is going. I'm willing to bet most just go along to get along. Thinking good years fall out of the sky and we will get lucky. They cheer when we win and say oh well we just didn't have it when we lose.

I sure would like to see them completely clean house from F. King on down to the guy who sweeps out the locker room. I'd sacrifice Aranda to get rid of the decay that's at the top.

I know a couple TAF board members. They are very intelligent and are heavy hitters. That said, I'm a bit surprised by there actions (or inaction) and how they have let things get to this point. There is simply no explanation. When Tennessee was putting on it's best impression of a shite show, Alleva simply looked on and said "Hold my Beer" I can do worst that that. Again!

That's a complete lie! Everyone knows Alleva is a wine spritzer man.

They just don't care. They will blame the dried up donations on the tax cut. They have already started to plant that seed.

That is why when you cancel your TAF and LSU Foundation donations you should email them exactly why you are canceling. Those emails are public record.

Explain why you are ending your financial support. I stated in mine that it had nothing to do with changes in federal tax law.

You're incredibly uninformed. Not one public dollar goes to athletics at LSU. It is all entirely funded by revenue the Athletic Department makes itself through sponsorship, tickets, concessions, etc.. and the rest is covered from TAF. LSU athletics operates essentially as a private entity. Which is why it is complete bullshite when the administration comes in and talks about not being able to do certain stuff because it looks bad for the school to be "spending money" on athletics when it's struggling with academics. When in reality, no money that ever goes to athletics would ever have gone to academics. And the better athletics does, the more of a surplus it has, and the more it can donate back to the academic side. I am legitimately afraid for our football program sliding enough that the Athletic Department is no longer self sustaining.

Meanwhile, Alabama's chancellor is on record saying that Nick Saban is the best investment the school ever made because of how much their enrollment and donations have increased since the football successes began.

I think that whatever happened in 2000, is gone now. Whoever was alive to remember LSU before 2000 vs after 2000, knows what I'm talking about. Sure, the easy answer is Nick Saban. But it was much more than that.

It seemed like the university had the right people in place to tell the timid budget watchers to sit the frick down. They finally understood that you have to spend money to grow.

For some reason, it seems like F. King and crew are so fricking worried about spending money (even money that isn't their money from TAF and private donations) - that all decisions made are timid, safe hires. Welcome to early 90's LSU again.

Oh no, we can't hire so and so. What would the public think?

frick the public. What will your stakeholders think? That's the question that is neglected. It's frustrating.
