Found an old article it was one of the few college teams that made money.

If still true, with the most loyal fans and a positive cash flow why doesn't the university exploit this to attract the best coaches and use it as a recruiting tool?

They seem completely unaware of what they have to attract the best.

This year from ticket sells, no way. But I wonder what the $ value is from TV, SEC network.

It’s never made much. Even in good years, it’s basically break even at best. Which is better than most.

They can't possibly make jack from the sec network concerning baseball.

Put it this way: remove football and men's basketball from their programming inventory, then speculate what that payout of $45 million per school from broadcast rights would be reduced to? You could probably count it on your fingers and toes.

It probably cost more to televise all those SEC+ games than the TV revenue. The womens softball tournament and the Johnsoville Cornhole tournament gets higher TV rating than Omaha
