I love the guy and it seems like he's been here forever, but does he have a future at the next level? IMO, I don't think he has the foot speed and quickness to play tackle, but I could see him move inside and have a decent career. I hope he goes on to have a long NFL career, but I think he's going to have to go to the right team that will have some patience in developing him. He's an LSU legend either way!

I think he could start eventually as a guard more likely than tackle. I agree, fit would have to be right. I hope so, I really like him. Graduated from my high school, college, works his tail off, and seems to have good character.

I could see him having a nice career as a guard. I think he gets drafted in the 6th or 7th round, finds him a nice spot

This year will either set him up as an NFL guy or not. Important year for him and I wish him the absolute best...

Day 3 draft pick

But could def see him as a journeyman depth guy/practice squad guy at Guard.

To be honest, his ceiling is the practice squad.

Definitely yes.

He'll get some looks at OT. And there's some possbility there... NFL gets the ball to/past the LoS so fast and his durability (in the SEC and NFL this is defined as the ability to play hurt effectively), strength, and ability to grasp concepts are going to be why they will do everything to see if he can be at OT. Possible while not likely.

His footspeed is an issue, as we all know. His balance/posture WAS an issue, which made the footspeed even more so a problem. But he's improved greatly there and it shows (despit what this board thinks). His agility has also improved, especially in adjusting his core direction adjustments (if he overstepped/compensated on a mis-step). Those are just as important as footspeed and can make up for, somewhat, that weakness.

I've seen him ride speedy DEs behind the pocket, so his footspeed isn't as bad as many here think. He also gets to the second level with good form and power on a regular basis. Having said that, it still likely isn't NFL quality on the speed/agility and Will likely end up IL.

Yo Hurricane your ceiling as an astute judge of football skills is just below a ground moles arse.

Deculus graduates this year and has been a starter for 4 years our coaches must suck or need guidance from the many OL coaches that post here cause how can this be?

You "coaches" won't have to worry y'all can start picking on Bordelon starting next year. Happy hunting buzzards.

Obsessed? Yes you can accuse me of being obsessed but I am obsessed with the totally obsessed "down with Deculus" buzzards that reside here. Calm down? My blood pressure is 115/70 and I am as relaxed as a sleeping baby. The fact that there are constant post about Deculus over and over again shows that the Deculus doubters are the ones that are truly obsessed.

I just like to pop their balloons

As strong and big as he is, given the right team/coach/offense then hell yes!

Will Clapp was a 2x first team All SEC and he’s still having trouble continually being the 6th OL rotating in. Deculus has been playing out of position his whole career, he’s built to play interior line. I’m not knocking the guy, but just because you’ve started your whole career doesn’t mean you’ll transition to having an NFL career. You hope he does, but more times than not it doesn’t happen.

I don’t see him getting drafted partly because he lacks agility and partly because he is going to be a very old rookie when he leaves LSU. This is why I wish they would at least try him at RG and see how he plays. He could put some good tape out there.

Do you think he is better than Will Clapp was? I honestly don’t and Clapp is barely hanging on with the Saints. I love AD, but I don’t see a future in the NFL for him.
