re: Does anyone have info on why rape charges weren’t brought against LSUs javelin thrower?
It wasn’t a confession. It was him admitting in texts messages and a verbal conversation with the girl he heard he say stop and he kept going

why? because something that happened 3 years ago that went through the full legal process and was found to not have any merit by a grand jury?

a Karen gets upset and is demanding that the rape charges that were dropped by the courts be enforced by the LSU Athletic Department?

I don’t know how anyone could read what’s in the Op and not have pause

which was the foundation for the arrest.

the next step is a grand jury. perhaps these "text" messages and "recordings" you are only hearing one side about weren't nearly as damning as you were led to believe in the article?

I literally stated if the advocate is lying then maybe that’s the case

But short of that I don’t know how a guy can admit to continuing with sexual activity after hearing stop and not being at minimum a bad person

because I believe in the presumption of innocence. this young chap was arrested. his case then moved to the next step, a grand jury. the grand jury decided there wasn't a case. the end.

you obviously don't believe in a presumption of innocence. you believe as long as someone is accused, their life needs to stop. they can't go to school. they can't participate in anything you don't think they should participate in.

you are a virtue signaler. this whole thread is nothing more than you trying to score virtue points.

I absolutely do

I beleive this man should be treated as every other free citizen. I also understand judgement as a person is outside the court of law, and I beleive there are guilty people that get off. And you do too, but are acting like you don’t. But I’m sure you always attacked people for saying OJ is guilty....OH WARRIOR OF INNOCENCE

Well in this case our morality about it all doesn’t matter, and we stop once the legal part is done.

As opposed to in a Coach’s case, it wasn’t good enough to go by what the legal outcome and punishment was. Our morality goes above that there.......or something like that.

As long as his freedom to throw a stick is taken away from him by a University.

It’s funny to me that people bitch about potentially hiring Casey from Oregon State. If they knew half of what goes on in the LSU athletic department they would burn it to the ground. Another example of a rapist who achieved all American honours after the crime. LINK

You telling me free citizens aren’t rescinded opportunities daily because of things they have done? Really?

Thanks for the details

When I first read the headline, I thought “poor kid was railroaded by regret sex”

Then I read the article about his apologies, and I was like frick that isn’t good

the only thing that has been "done" was the guy was accused of date rape.

the courts after hearing all of the evidence said, "naw, there is nothing to prove rape here".

yet you are still triggered and went full Karen demanding your university expel the kid and limit what he is allowed to do.

100% true, and he should be allowed to be free

Then after that, we as people get to think to ourselves how we feel about it. Same as everyone else who has faced charges, and even those that never face charges. We all make these judgements daily, and are judged daily ourselves

And what I am reading doesn’t sit well with me.

You are the one virtue signaling acting like you are an apostle of Jesus that never sets judgement upon another man.
