So you would have congratulated him instead had your Google search not led to your outrage? Good thing he was the first LSU winner in the event since 1967 or you’d have never even known about this.

Im not sure what this is supposed to mean

It means you just go looking for things to be pissed off about.

I used to work for a company that used work with this dudes dad. Biggest a-hole I have ever encountered in business.

Pulled up the twitter videos of the winning throw and it put me on dad’s feed. He does some screaming.....haha

Also appears the daughter won Louisiana high school track athlete of year (or something like that). Some intense training in that household

What?

I googled his name because I was pumped about him being a national title winner for LSU and wanted to find out more about him. Normally, I don’t stumble upon rape admissions when I do that.....

I also googled that squirrel guy they kept talking about. Good thing is only positive stuff online about him

Well it went in front of a grand jury and they came back with a no true bill. Meaning they heard all of the state’s evidence against him without any rebuttal by his attorney and decided there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him with a crime. We’ll never know what went on with the grand jury, but it’s usually pretty easy to convince them to indict

Thats my point. There has to be something more for that not to even go to trial

But recordings of him admitting to it, witnesses giving testimony the night of saying they heard him apologize for it, I just can’t shake that being no bueno from a conscience standpoint

Maybe the advocate is just straight up lying about the recoding and witness testimony

This guy has been through the legal process. A grand jury decided there wasn't enough to prosecute.

So a guy that was never convicted of anything should not be allowed to play sports because your feelings are hurt?

Academic institutions are a joke when it comes to athletics. They don't care about past or current behavior if the offender can bring them some type of glory.

No, but LSU isn't a court of law and based on what is known, including his admissions about the event, should have told him to pound sand.

As far as I’m concerned he should be allowed to do everything else any other free citizen is

Doesn’t mean I want him at my alma mater though. I figured there would be some parkview people here that could shed more light. I understand there are two sides to every story and want to hear the other. But it seems very bad with what is known

Based on my interactions with Parkview people they probably think she had it coming for being dressed like a slut.

Exactly.

So you want LSU to make punitive decisions over a matter that a grand jury dismissed? Kind of like a court of law?

No, I want them to always treat things on a case by case basis and use good judgement

I'm a bit unsettled that this comment got so many down votes.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an article on this now that he is a national title winner and the team will likely win as well

I mean most LSU fans had never even heard of this due to it being track and field, so I don’t national people have

why? because something that happened 3 years ago that went through the full legal process and was found to not have any merit by a grand jury?

a Karen gets upset and is demanding that the rape charges that were dropped by the courts be enforced by the LSU Athletic Department?

I'm a bit concerned it didn't receive more downvotes.

I mean when you have a recording of someone admitting rape, and witnesses there that very night also saying they heard him apologizing for it, I just don’t know how else a case isn’t even heard

Was his confession ruled inadmissible?
