Yes, you are correct. UK relies on a strong freshman class every year and this one was weak, by their standards. I think they will all be good players by their system requires them to be good immediately.

Kentucky will be a good team this year, but I don't see them winning the SEC. I predict they are around a 4-5 seed in the NCAA tournament.

LSU will win a close one on Wednesday.

Coach Jones had teams that beat Kentucky. Let's see how Wade does playing the weakest Kentucky team in years.

Wade might pull out a win - like Coach O, he can beat the weak teams.

Lets see how Wade does. To me, Wade is all hat, no cattle.

If he can back up his big talk, then I'll admit he's ok.

Wade has had more fan support than Coach Jones ever did, and we all know why.

With a few exceptions, fans were fawning over Wade as the next great NCAA basketball coach before any games were played. And, the team is about the same as last year, yet the fawning continues.

Hmmmm ... so what is different?

You have to be related to jones. No way any sane individual who is an lsu fan can have that opinion about jones and that opinion about wade.

YOu really dont see the difference? The hustle, the smarter play, the actual defense they put on the court? The talent he has brought in with waters, how much better guys like mays, sampson, and sims have gotten?

I am not a Coach Jones sycophant. I just don't see what Wade has done that Coach Jones couldn't have done - if he had any fan support.

The Wade Worship is inexplicable.

The defense has largely sucked - by Wade's own admission.

I'm not saying Coach Jones was a superstar coach. But, Coach Wade's hype far exceeds his results so far.

Well, we shoot it infinitely better. He’s recruiting better. He’s at least trying to coach during games which Johnny never did. And don’t say he did. You know me well enough to know I sat through every painful loss. When guys fricked up they’d walk back to the bench and he wouldn’t say anything. Screaming, calmly, or otherwise. He didn’t use timeouts. His inbound plays were limited to throwing it out to half court and running out shitty halfcourt offense that usually resulted in a contested 3 with 32 seconds on the shot clock.

The roster Johnny would have had (or hell even with this one) loses to Michigan, Houston, and Memphis.

Umm running actual offensive and inbounds sets, using timeouts, in game coaching... I want to go find the quote from the UH game where WW said we had a plan to run a play on our first offensive set to get Epps a shot (which he buried), and implore you to find one time in 5 years where JJ talked about running specific plays for specific players at ANY point.

I admit that you may have a better perspective from attending those games in person.

He just looked bored and defeated after the NCSU let down. Program needed life. We hired two old guys in a row after Brady

I think Ben Simmons took a toll on Coach Jones too.
