Do you think the neutral site games are losing their allure?

I don't think I saw any of them sold out. I watched a couple and was at Jerry world and don't think I saw any of them sold out. Maybe the match ups weren't that exciting? Or maybe it's the expense of it all. But I was at Oregon and TCU games and both were sold out.

Sold out =/= full stadium in attendance. I'm not sure what ticket sales have been for most of these games.

I’d say yes. I think all fans are saturated at this point. Too many other options to watch in more comfortable venues.

Supposedly the LSU game was at near capacity

They were sorta cool at first, when there was maybe one of them. Now, the novelty has worn off that fans have realized that these neutral site games have essentially completely replaced marquee home/@home OOC games.

Get a wrench and tighten that shite up

Had we been playing Nebraska, the place would have been packed. Or Oklahoma. Or Okla State. Or Texas.

Texas stadium had been set up for 80k capacity Sunday night. There were 68K at the game.

Maybe too many people are getting too money hungry and outpricing fans. It don't cost a dime to watch it on TV and sit on the couch. The TV actually gives you the better study of the game.

Attendance last night for the LSU game was about 12k under capacity

Paid announced attendance for Miami was 68k. It was 87k for Oregon, back in 2011.

I though that yesterday’s game had a great atmosphere

The lsu game had huge TV ratings. That's where the money is made.

Not at all. And clearly the money is still there to be had since they keep adding more of these games.

High prices and Alabama fatigue.

It’s about the sponsorships and ESPN getting marquee games to open up the season. Much like bowl games the attendance is secondary to TV.

Props to the Miami fans. They showed up.
