Am I alone in being disillusioned by the current direction of this board? It seems as if the nattering nabobs of negativity are spreading like lice here. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find anything positive on the rant, either supporting the teams, or individual student athletes.
The negatigers have ruined football. LSU could go 11-2 next season, and all you would find are threads asking when Coach O is going to be fired. This trend is spreading to men's basketball and even baseball!
Now even the distaff basketball team is being impacted. A thread came out this afternoon, "why is there no outrage against Nikki Caldwell"?
It just continues.

I fundamentally Disagree with your premise that there is no pleasing people.
You act like LSU went 11-2 THIS year and we want O fired.
11-2 next year would involve us beating a few good teams. We were like 2-4 vs teams with winning records this year. We lost to a sun belt team. There are reasons to be dissatisfied.

There’s a sizeable section of LSU fans who thrive on negativity. It’s been that way since as long as I can remember which dates back to the Charlie Mac days. If you’re looking for positivity. the Rant is not the place to be. The recruiting board is where the most knowledgeable and level headed fans are. I come here for the comedy.

Tigerdroppings and the Rant had taken a nosedive. It's an insult forum these days. When someone makes a post, they are lucky to have one reply before someone insults them. This was once a fun and informative board.

I agree with you. Everybody wants to be right about CEO and they vent ad nauseam about it like something's going to change before the season.

Winning fixes it all. Quit making excuses for a program that hasn’t done much in recent years. LSU used to be feared in football.

Yeah you're full of shite. The rant has been basically the same since I joined but with more traffic and some tweaks to the layout. People have reason to be displeased or concerned with the football program. Can we stop acting like everything is perfect? I agree that anyone ripping on Wade or Mainieri can get fricked, FWIW

The negativity has always diminished this board but the thing that has reduced my visits is just the unreasonable- ness around people’s posts beginning with Miles and immediately over to O...what fan base doesn’t give a coach 2-3 yrs before giving up on a coach? The rantards were bashing O before he started.
They never give the coach any credit and figure out a way to blame them for everything to fit into their negative opinions.
I’m not jumping up and down about O, but I’m willing to give him 2-3 seasons before I start calling for his head.

Joe Alleva has run our football program to the dirt. There is plenty reason to be pissed about the direction of the program. Complete incompetence at the top. If you think this is bad wait till we lose 5+ next year.
ETA: I’d be ecstatic if we won 11 games next year. Don’t think it will happen but will still always cheer for the Tigers.
