Not that he or anyone else should care, but for me there is a major difference.

IF Mcmillian leaves he completed his commitment to LSU in my eyes. He graduated and spent 4 years working for a goal to start. He was/IS a great tiger and was nothing but class on and off the field.

LN is leaving as a RS freshmen when LSU stuck by him during major injuries. He knows that he would at minimum have a chance to start at LSU for 2 years. He is running from competition. Unlike McMillian, he has 4 years of eligibility left.

Not that anyone cares, but thats my thoughts.

I agree with you on McMillan. He's running out of time to play and earned his degree. It's not the same thing.

Yea I think people will compare the situations and for me they are not close to the same. I guess that is why I made the thread.

He had other offers. We wanted LN, but didn’t have an offense for his skill set.

Nick Fitzgerald ran the ball 167 times last year.

There are offenses where running the ball is an equally important skill set for the QB and LN knows that’s where he should be.

McMillan has already graduated, which means he can leave and play right away.

Narcisse would have to go to JUCO for a year before he could play for an FBS team.

To me, McMillan transferring makes sense. He was passed on the depth chart in his last year of eligibility. For Narcisse, it means that he will have to wait 2 years to potentially start as a red shirt junior when he’ll be competing with Brennan for both of those years as they would have the same amount of eligibility. If Narcisse isn’t content to wait two years to start or believed he had fallen permanently behind Brennan on the depth chart, then transfering now was the logical choice. He could be starting for an FBS team one year sooner this way.

both transfers are understandable. the depth problem is on LSU. and that is why people are frustrated with these guys. they resent them leaving and causing our qb depth chart to be in shambles.

I agree Narcisse is pulling a look at me, I didnt get my way pussy move.
LSU will never get better with attitudes like that on the team.

Both make sense if the kids want to play. They won’t play here. We needed them for depth and that’s it. Sucks we lose depth but if we lose Burrow and Brennan the season is lost anyway.

I think ProjectP and Astro Tiger are both right but from different angles.

Scholarships are on a one year basis. Coaches come and go as they please. Orgeron left LSU as a player after 1 year for god's sake. Stop acting like Lowell is hanging LSU out to dry.

Who said hanging out to dry? It is about one kid who gave his all to LSU for 4 years, earned a degree, and now would like to play football as a starter.

The other is about a guy who had to red shirt due to injuries and when things started looking like he wouldn't start ran away.

Nothing to do with hanging LSU out to dry.
