Looking at the standings, we’re in third a game or so ahead of Vandy and three games ahead of South Carolina. Are we locked into a top four seed now?

Would be nice to finish off Georgia with a sweep and challenge Arky for the top seed.

In theory, S.C. can sweep UT, Vandy wins next 2, and LSU could lose next 2.

Then both LSU and SC finish 18-11. Not sure how tiebreaker would work, but odd team out would be 5 seed.

Low probability of this happening.

I think we would own the tiebreaker due to our common opponent in Arkansas, someone correct me if I'm wrong

South Carolina still has three games to play so they can tie LSU if they win all three and LSU loses two.

I believe LSU would still be the 4 seed. I may be wrong on this but looks like the tiebreaker would go to the Arkansas series for both teams which LSU won but USCe lost.

Thats what I was fixing to say too. Looks like USCe is the only team that could challenge for the 4th spot if they sweep & we lose the next 2.

I don’t know how the SEC BB tie breakers work.

1. Two-Team Tie. The following procedure will be used in the following order until the tie is broken:

A. Won-lost results of head-to-head competition between the two tied teams. Tied 1-1

B. If two-teams are divisional opponents:
(1) Won-lost percentage within their division (over the 18-game SEC division schedule).
(2) Won-lost percentage of the two teams versus the No. 1 team in their division (and proceeding through the No. 7 team, if necessary).

C. If two teams are not divisional opponents:
(1) Won-lost record of the two teams versus the No. 1 seed using common opponents only (and proceeding through the No. 12 seed, if necessary).
(2) Coin flip by the Commissioner

LSU 2-1 vs Arkansas
South Carolina 0-3 vs Arkansas

Honestly, would rather the 4-seed than the three. Play at 8 at night instead of 9:30 AM and let Skenes face Florida. Bracket

If LSU is the 4 then Florida would have to be the 1.

The tiebreaker for seeding between two teams that are in opposite divisions goes to record against common opponent starting with the 1 seed and working your way down. No matter who the 1 seed is (Fla, Vandy, Ark) the only common opponent we had was Arkansas where we went 2-1 and USC went 1-2. So we would have the tiebreaker; we are now locked into a top 4 seed

3 seed most likely outcome for LSU.

Still a decent shot at 2 seed. LSU needs to gain a game on UF.

Arkansas would have to drop next 2 and LSU win next 2 to finish as 1 seed.

I believe we'd need to sweep, Arkansas to lose the next 2, and Florida to take 2/3 from UK for the 1 seed.

If we seep, Arkansas loses the next 2, and Florida sweeps UK, we're the 2 seed.

Considering Arkansas probably doesn't lose the next 2, we're pretty locked-in to the 3 seed.

They said last night that division champs got the #1 and 2 seeds then the rest are based on record. I could be wrong, but it appears that Vandy has to beat the pigs the next two games and we have to sweep to win the west and get the 2 seed. However, if we win one more we will get the 3 seed.

Wanting to play the last game of the day when there are four games and weather is almost always a factor at this tournament is just stupid. Here’s a hint: That 8 p.m. start is more likely to be 8:30 or later. It’s bad for fans and it’s also bad for the players, especially the pitchers whose routines can get interrupted by delays.

South Carolina is not sweeping Tenn with their pitching injuries so it won't matter

What about winning the SEC West and/or the entire SEC? Do we need Arky to lose both remaining games and we sweep for the West?

Tennessee is 2-11 on the road. Still don't think it will happen with South Carolina injuries, but I wouldn't say it so definitevly.

Yep. I wouldn't expect that to happen though.

LSU wins the tiebreaker with SC because we won the series against Arkansas and they didn't.
