Did Burrow get this much hate from the fanbase after his first season at LSU?

I do remember there were a few idiots that wanted Myles to start heading into 2019, but I honestly can't recall if Burrow had this many people questioning him after 2018 the way our fans are questioning Daniels after 2022.

A completely different player with a completely different set of conditions. That GA second half emphasized some tough “shortcomings,” which never happened to Burrow.

There is a guy with a thread saying all our recruits would have flipped if they knew Daniels would have announced this yesterday

Nah Burrow was a first time starter that never played before and came on really hot at the end of the year.

Whereas we have seen 4 years Daniels now. Not a good comparison.

Burrow and Daniels situations are not the same.

Again... Burrow didn't score a single point against Bama.

Yes.

Go back and read burrow threads between the 2018 and 2019 season..

He literally had a half dozen people thinking he had a decent season on the Rant.

So a lot of people in here saying Burrow didn't get much hate in 2018 is some Mandela Effect then?

And.. Nuss put up 23 vs UGA in a half of the same game where JD put up 7. You’re not making a point unless you can apply your standards universally.

So what's the universal standard?

I didn’t make the argument you did. I just pointed out you’re using a double standard.

So Daniels shouldn't get the same benefit of the doubt?

For what? Are you saying he beat Bama so he can do it again? Ok we should give him the benefit of the doubt there. Are you saying because Burrow didn’t do as well in that game his first year that JD will be better than Burrow year 2? I wouldn’t give it to him by that standard.

That he can improve as a QB and have an even better season than the solid one he had this year.

Joe Burrow didn’t throw a touchdown pass in the month of October in 2018.

Probably not, but 2022 JD > 2018 JB.

I think 2023 JD > 2022 JD.
