Field position would have been the better call. Saban's call was a fail and he kept repeating the fail. Stupid decision when you consider their kicker sucks. It is not like Saban hand Drew on his side of the field. If that were the case then your argument might have legs.

If you can only kick the ball 46 yards and your stupid coach repeatedly ask you to try one that long or longer then that is stupid. Just throwing away field position.

Exactly. The little prick just couldn't concede to the defense and punt. Had to keep trying to score. Classic 'little man syndrome'.

Two things, besides LSU's AWESOME play in every phase of the game, won this game for the Tigers.

1.) GREAT coaching by Les Miles.

2.) Saban's ego.

It was a very give and take kind of a football game. More L.S.U. players said they would rather avoid seeing Alabama again. That included Eric Reid, who had the game’s key interception at the goal line early in the fourth quarter. “I definitely won’t be too upset if we don’t play them again,” Reid said. “That’s a tough team. I’m beat up. I have to sit in the ice tub for a couple of hours.”

Can you just imagine what those Alabama people are feeling……paying Nick Saban $6 million only to lose to the buffoon, mad, zany, Les Miles.

This win by LSU must strike at the Alabama people to their very core. I can only imagine…..You could tell their stadium was in a state of shock when LSU pushed through that winning field goal. Can you just imagine how deeply their psychological identity shattered? Les Miles!!! the man they laughed at; scoffed at; derided; lampooned….OMG…this is just so sweet

One could argue that...but i also hear that not making mistakes are a part of the game as well.

Many argued that regular season 2003 UGA out played LSU...but then the SEC CG, no one could argue what happened there. Maybe a rematch is needed to quell the rumors...

Did Alabama outplay LSU ?

Yes Bama did.

But only if you don't count special teams as part of the game.

NOT SO! TR had 189 yds; 89 Rushing & 80 Receiving.

What else do you expect them to say? THEY LOST!

I have read several comment boards where a few have admitted they got beat!

As les would probably say if he wasn't humble, they may have indeed outplayed us but we out-beat them

Perhaps they did out play us. Unfortunately they were out coached. and in CFB, out coaching usually beats out playing.

Yes, Alabama probably slightly outplayed LSU ...

... if you think kicking and special teams don't matter. Apparently Saban didn't either or he would have recruited a competent kicker.

And I say "slightly outplayed" only because they moved the ball better. You still have to put it in the endzone.

Suck it, gumps.

All 10 pages of this thread should be deleted. Just by debating the premise, we are giving credence to their delusion. See, Gumpville NEVER loses. Sometimes, the other team scores more points than them. It's happened 9 out of 12 times since (and including) the 2000 game. Gumps have won exactly 3 out of 12 (25%) in this century against LSU. But just ask them: they didn't lose any of them.

Stats are for losers, No bama did not out play LSU , im so tired of hearing about if they had made those FG's. What if they wouldua made them? We would have changed our game plan. What if Sheppard doesn't fall and walks into the end Zone on that pass? Ask Bama's players if they feel good about hearing "we out played them
'. A champ doesn't think that away. Its all about Wins or losses ,not who had more yards! Scoreboard baby.

Richardson had 200 yards and they ran all over us.

Tigers rushed for 148 yds. That's 100 more than gumps average giving up per game. BYW it was -17 yds once inside the 30. That's awesome.

Serious question. What has to happen for a team to be outplayed and still win. Give me a list. A. cheating refs. B. C. D.? Come on tell me all the ways.

Moral victory. Cool.

So how many points do you get for that anyway?
