As for Vitale, like most color analysts, he's become a parody of himself. It's less about the game and more about them and all of their catch phrases. It happened to Madden and it's far worse with Vitale.

I liked when Kenny Mayne would do the highlights, and at the end of a game whenever they would show a team celebrating a walkoff win or something, he would just dryly say ‘the players were gay’
