I coach with a guy who recently coached at Amite and he is hearing that Lee is considering transferring to Kentucky because of playing time.

Anyone else hearing this?

I for one hope this isn’t true. This would be bad because we want to create a pipeline in Amite.

Once again, just passing on Info I heard from someone I know well. Don’t shoot the messenger.

I heard something similar to this. Not sure what he expected. He’s got 3 superstars in front of him.

He must really want to be a WR instead of a safety.

Who knows. He might’ve said it. Kids say dumb shite all the time. I’d consider this quadruple hearsay and unreliable. I’m going to have to downvote you

I would not be surprised with how the transfer portal has gone so far. He probably sees the wrs we have coming in for next year along with Jamar chase, terrace Marshall, and possibly Justin Jefferson being back. If he wants to see the field he needs to move to safety and have the same role as Jacoby Stevens.

Amite is not some fountain of talent.

And if he absolutely has to play WR, let him go. Our WR class is insane and we get a bunch back.

Aranda would make him and All American OLB.

Kid runs a 4.5 and built like a truck. Seems like he would consider safety. I think he could be the next Jacoby Stevens.

Dude is a freshman under
1. Justin Jefferson: pushing one of LSU’s best ever
2. Ja’Marr Chase: a grown man
3. Someone who has been there before (Marshall Hurt)

If true... Nut up young man

That would be a good change to transfer portal. Have to be a junior

He will have his shot, we may possibly lose 3 WR after this year.

You realize players have always been able to transfer whenever they wanted & the portal didn’t change that, right?

Seems a bit premature. His time/chance is coming. Now Jontre Kirklin I could see...kid's got wheels. Stuck behind a lot of talent and his NCAA clock is counting down.

Have to rerecruit some of these guys and Ed O has even said that himself. They are entitled and want to play right away and can be cancerous to a locker room with their bitching.

Lee is very much like Duvernay (the Texas WR that had 154 yards and 2 TDs against LSU).

I am extremely high on Devonta Lee. Hope he stays, and hope he gets PT at whatever position HE wants to play.

I also hope he has learned the LSU playbook inside and out. He will have to do that at any major program... even more so in the NFL.

Great young WR, IMO. I wish the young man nothing but the best.

In 2011 I was a sophomore at LSU and Rasco was a freshman DE. He and a buddy of mine went to HS together so we were hanging out one day and he was talking about how he was thinking of transferring cuz he should be playing.

He was a freshman DE on a team with Sam Montgomery, KeKe Mingo, Lavar Edwards, Chase Pittman (I think his name was chase?). Not to mention it was arguably the greatest defense in school history.

That day I learned that kids that were highly recruited out of HS have zero grasp on reality. They all think they should play from day 1.

Luckily those around him were smart enough to convince him to stick it out. he did turn into a nice player as a Junior and senior but even senior Rasco wouldn’t have been more than a rotational player on that 2011 defense.
