squad for the 2018 season.

quote:

White, a junior from Springhill, Louisiana, led the Southeastern Conference in tackles a year ago, registering 133 from his linebacker position. He became the first LSU player to lead the SEC in tackles since the early 1980s.

White set a league record by earning SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors four times in 2017. He also tied the school record for double-digit tackles in a season as he accomplished the feat eight times.

White earned second team All-America honors last year in what was his first season as a starter for the Tigers. In 25 career games, White has recorded 163 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

Williams, a sophomore from Shreveport, started all 13 games for the Tigers at cornerback in 2017. He led the SEC in interceptions with six on his way to earning third team All-America honors from the Associated Press.

Can't say this team doesn't have talent. That excuse won't work.

Defense does, but we all knew that.

We lost Offensive Production from last year... that's the question mark brother

I know #11 is going to surprise some people... in what limited time he got, he's made some spectacular catches (and important wants)

Well deserved both super players. I think We will have an all American on the DL by the end of the season as well (betting Lawrence)

I'm sure their expectations for this team are higher than yours. My point is we have a championship level defense potentially. O hired Steve Ensminger as offensive coordinator this past off-season. He better deliver.

Sure it has talent, but we're still a far cry from Alabama's level of talent and depth. That's what happens when you get 3421 #1 classes though.

I don't care what your point is. Start another thread if you want to tear down the LSU program.

This thread is in congratulations of TWO LSU defensive players being named 1st team All-Americans.

Congrats to Devin and Greedy! Two talented players on what will be a talented defense, filled with talent!

Only defense in the SEC with two preseason All-Americans!

First of all a big congrats to Greedy and Devin! They both definitely deserve it.

Now to your point. Unless I misread something, the gumps only have one player on the list. An offensive lineman. Not saying that bama doesn't have a lot of talent, just saying I'm surprised that they don't have any defensive players on the first team.

1st of all you are wrong. They are PRESEASON all-american by a outdated media source, which means nothing.

It means two LSU defensive players are being recognized by national sports publications. Hate it all you want, but I think it is good for the players and the program.

No one is saying it’s a bad thing, dude. Just that in the grand scheme of things, being named a preseason all American means little to nothing.

Can’t wait to see Greedy and White continue to dominate and get POSTseason All-American status. Were ucky to have them both for another season
