Derek Stingley will likely go down as GOAT LSU defender

When LSU D and Clemson O was on the field, he was the best player out there. He bounced back from the Bama game and has passed up Okudah as the best corner in CFB. Barring injury, he will be a 3x first team AA and a Thorpe award winner.

I was very surprised they didn’t give it more of a try. I also understand why they kept throwing at Fulton though, man he just was getting picked on!

Kristian Fulton had a better season. But Stingley will be our GOAT CB

I hope so. BUT. He doesn’t dictate the game like some of the past CBs we’ve had. T7M was a complete game changer on all corners of the field. I understand these are different times, but man was he that good.

Two different kind of players. Tm7 was in nickel most of the time. Stingley just shuts down half the field as a true corner

Stingley is better as a freshman than Peterson was imo. Pete was great but stingley is already one of the 2 or 3 best
