Just watched this kids highlight for the first time. It was comical. I don’t think I’ve ever been more impressed with another defensive players tape. With a spring camp under his belt, no way he doesn’t start right away.

Fulton and Stingley on the outside with Vincent emerging as the slot corner...

This might last longer than 4 hours.

Spoke with an NFL guy, who played with the Patriots in the 90's, he said DS has the best footwork he has ever seen,... ever! I asked if he is a day 1 starter and he said, "In the NFL!" He said, "Sure he has to be physically seasoned, but I have never seen that kind of footwork ever--even in the NFL"

One of the most impressive thing that i dont see mentioned much is the body control this young man has. Body control is something that is very hard to teach

What is Derek’s age? Would he be a draft eligible sophomore or does LSU have him for at least 3 years?

He has to be out of high school for three years to be draft eligible either way. He'll be able to go after his junior season regardless of his current age.

The only way sophomores are eligible for the draft is if they're a red shirt sophomore, which would make them a junior if they didn't take a red shirt.

Age doesn't matter, you just have to be 3 years out of high school.

Great footwork, fluid, loose hips. Uses hands well and plays physical. Explosive athlete with high football IQ. Good tackler, not afraid of contact. Innate ability to go get the football

What’s the LSU record for interceptions in a career?

Not sure, but DS had like 18 his junior year, and the ball was only thrown his way like 24 times.
