May be old news, but pretty much confirmed Canada is out for sure. Says he will be getting an answer sooner than later on the details. The reason it's taking so long as they are trying to figure out how to handle it from a PR standpoint. He said one thing is for sure, Ensminger will definitely be involved.

If Orgeron actually promotes Ensminger he is just asking to be fired. People are going to lose their fricking minds if that happens.

Ensminger...... Jesus no, great coach just not a top flight OC.... Coach O must have a death wish. He had great value to the program just not as an OC...smh

Side note, he also said he wouldn't be surprised if we were in a co offensive coordinator situation.

We got our guy in Ensminger. He's a tremendous play-caller with tremendous experience in calling plays. We expect a tremendous offense next season.

Does the Shrimp boat captain want to get fired? Cause this is how you get fired

Honestly, I agree w/this assessment. BUT, he didn't wan the full-time OC position so I think he ends up as a voice but under another OC...

The PR side of it has come and gone.
They are just trying to work out the buyout details.
If it's Ensminger LSU might as well forfeit the Bama game.

Can anyone point to a co-offensive coordinator situation that works?

people need to call the athletic office and tell them not a single more penny will be donated to LSU and will not renew season tickets until this nonsense stops

Great, just what we need...more people fighting over control of the offense.

I doubt PR has anything to do with it. They are trying negotiate the buyout. Unfortunately, LSU doesn't have a ton of leverage in this situation. Ed wants Canada gone. However, Canada doesn't have to leave without getting his full buyout.

LSU is waiting/hoping Canada finds another school at which to land. I suspect they'd even be MORE than happy to waive the buyout if he does. But Canada holds the all the cards. He still gets paid handsomely even if he doesn't find a job. They are trying to reach a number at which Canada will just agree to walk away.

Clemson was the ONLY one

Take that back, Meachum and Cumbie worked at TCU

But the common denominator with those two is that they are under the SAME system and philosophy
