4I’m not sure how many people have actually been interviewed for the position outside of Freeman and Derek Mason, (should have been at least 5) and i would think many coaches would be contacting LSU about the vacancy for an interview. Freeman was a top target, but more research about his wanting to stay near family before offering him should have been known. LSU has time to get this done right, and vet the best candidates available to get the best fit for LSU. They have to get this crucial hire right, and retain their current staff (Corey Raymond).

I’m simply stating that a lot more information could have been and should have been known before the interview. When good companies go after top talent they do a lot of probing around about the person before the interview. I’m not sure LSU did some of those things prior to getting him here for the interview.
