When you have an offense that cant score for shite but a defense that believes it's one of the top teams in the nation they wear that as a badge of honor and refuse to allow opponents to score on them. They play with intensity. We have the same level of athletes on defense that we've had in previous years but since we no longer depend on them they dont play with the same level of attitude. When was the last time we had a big hit and blew somebody up? We're missing a devin white/TM7/PP7/brandon taylor/Ali Highsmith type of leader to instill the culture

No it’s not. If it was, the LSU defense would be manned by all these rant tough guys.

Defense is all about pursuit angles

Attitude is a part of it but it's schematic just like offense. You take a bad angle in the secondary and you get burnt.

I think there is more to it than that. The players may not be very talented but many teams with less talent that LSU's\perform better attitude or not.

Last night the players were lazy and undisciplined.

Sure last night they were lazy. But we have enough of a sample size now to not base an entire season off of last night and I dont think lazy is the right word. Shelvin works his arse off despite his lazy reputation. There are other problems besides laziness.

I cant help but wonder if Devin White wouldve come back if he wouldve known where we would be today. I know he was really torn and he made the right decision but I think he wouldve come back if he knew our offense would be this good and he wouldve completely changed our D and held Delpit up to his standards

It's geometry and ability and heart's desire and strategy and surprise and other things I forgot.

Kary Vincent, whom I have yelled at through my TV screen a bunch this year, had a great hit in the second half. And that INT was awesome. #5 came to play last night. Proud of him:
