I posted this early in the game on the scoreboard thinking it was just me but they definitely put it in another gear last night. You could see it on the line pre snap, they were bouncing their legs ready to fire off the line. The extra get up and go was obvious and if they play like that from here on out we can’t be beat.

I think they were tired of everyone talking shite in them. They definitely played on another level last night. The whole team looked that way though.

Especially the pass rush. The stunts early-on were getting in the backfield and KC looked to be playing with a fire in his belly. Overall THIS is the DEF we expected to see with ATH's at every level - DL, LB, DB - making an impact, making plays. Take it to ATL next week baws and drop the hammer on UGA.

Defense was allowed to attack last night. That is the difference. We've been squatting too much playing read/react. Aranda has to let the players play.

The reason was the scheme. Aranda finally went to a blitz package, and got out of that rush 3 drop 8 bullshite. Which I've been calling for all season. If he continues to call this kind of game from here out, we will be hard to deal with. Good job last night from Aranda!!

I loved the aggressiveness with the blitz. Mond was not comfortable.

That’s what happens when you play aggressive. With the players we have we should dictate to the offense not let the offense dictate what we can do. Playing aggressive also helps tackling.

This. You could tell before the snap that they were going to be in the backfield pressuring Mond. Defense was awesome last night.

But he's supposed to be the best QB in the SEC

I think some of it was new schemes/stunts, but I also think players may have taken their foot off the gas a bit vs Ole Miss especially, and then against Arkansas after the outcome was assured. I get it, the schedule has been a grind, and with the various key injuries we’ve had, winning all our games is more important than showing out against Ole Miss.

We are able to be so aggressive because A&M has a non existent run game. I hope we continue to be aggressive but we can’t do it the whole game against a team that can run the ball.

Totally agree and posted something to the same effect last night, "Aranda turned those Tigers loose and they feasted". Love the attacking approach last night. Just want to mention this also, Hampton is gonna be damn good.

You can still be aggressive against running teams. I’ve advocated all year that playing passive is not our strength. It allows linemen to get to the second level and QBs to scan the field on pass plays. We played passive most of the year and that allows teams to get comfortable. Being disruptive is the key. Of course you can’t and shouldn’t do it every play but you make the qb think he doesn’t have time and he will not be accurate.

NOBODY has said this.

Tua, Fromm, & Burrow were all picked ahead of Mond pre-season.

Fromm isn’t too mobile. Hope we have a similar game plan

Yes, according to himself. Kellen Mond may be a little "special". And I'm not talking about his ability to play football.
