I'm sure offers have been made with a deadline to respond. I'm surprised with 2 weeks left until NSD and we're back recruiting there's no announcements just yet. Is it possible we go until NSD with no coaching announcements?

I mean the national championship was a week ago. These coaches JUST left. Do you want a hire or do you want the best hire possible? If it’s the second then give them some time to conduct a search

The right hire is infinitely more important than the timing. As long as it’s the right guy and he’s here in time for Spring Practice that’s fine by me.

I agree, but at same time Aranda flirted with head coach at UNLV i would've just thought that we would have already had our targets for the spots. I'm all for waiting to make best decision and trust the coaching for sure. Just thought it was surprising it took a week that's all.

it's not your job to hire, whatever your job is get back to work.

you should produce more than you consume. right now, you are not producing.

I bet DC is hired relatively soon, the offensive spot, I would bet that won't be until after signing day. Remember LSU has an OC, Ensminger will still be in charge.

Back in the day, losing coaches before signing day meant your head coach could make more face to face visits himself. Not sure it that's still true with early signing period in December now.

1 Find a DC, come to a negotiated professional and contractual agreement. Will probably happen this week. Next week is not too late.

2 Decide with E how to go forward with offense. A public announcement next week is fine.

No one was caught off guard by Aranda leaving. Coaches always have other coaches on standby. Now its a matter of getting the best fit. And it wont be rushed just to have in place so we can maybe, hopefully sign some kids that are still on the fence.

The recruiting angle isn't really that big of a deal this year. Most guys we will land are grade contingent and not really new coach territory. Only guy we need the defensive coordinator for is McKinley Jackson but I believe his visit is this weekend so im not sure how they'll approach that.
