I've been watching replays of the spring game and each time focusing on different players. From what I have seen Dare is playing with good technique. He looks a little slow laterally at times but overall he looked pretty good. Not sure how he is doing with picking up blocking assignments or how well he is progressing according to the coaches. Haven't heard much about him this spring. Anybody have any news on him or opinions on his progress?

In my 37 humbles years on this earth, I've grown to trust the quiet North La talent. Dare fits the bill.

Wouldn't Ferriday be Central Louisiana?

I hope he progresses a little faster.

He looks a little light in the britches but he looks to have all the tools to be a good o lineman.

Based on the spring game alone, he is hopefully better than Decalus.

As much as people from “central Louisiana” want to say they are from “central Louisiana;” there is no such thing. You only have north and south in this state. There are some variations here and there within those 2 regions; but it is what it is. “Central Louisiana” is north Louisiana. And this is coming from someone who has one side of the family from “central Louisiana”.

Well, the Jews are known for their pass blocking. He'll be fine.

There's a such a thing as cenla. That being said I'm from Concordia parish and we're considered north Louisiana.

I understand that. Like I said, half of my family is from the Alexandria area. But I can assure you that the people and culture of cenla are the same as the rest of north La.

They routinely win defensive wars so he should do well defending Burrow and Brennan.

Everything north of the Bunkie Line is north Louisiana.

He was really hard to read to me. Sometimes he would look stiff and slow coming out of his stance and other times he would pop right up and show good footwork. It was like watching two different players. Really hope Cregg can get him in shape and more consistent.
