He was very talented in high school and could have gone to other big time programs. Some of you are acting like he is a 2 star player or something. He is having a very good year so far and I look for better things to come this season.

That amount of stars he had coming out of high school shouldn't matter to people at this point in his career. sadly it does

I didn't know he only had three offers. Interesting.

The Miles loyalists are just desperate for the team to fail in some way so they can justify their undying love for a man who had let the game pass him by.

too late for that since Miles was soundly out-coached by a TE coach.

Not only was he a 4 star recruit but his grade was nearly identical to Jameis Winston's.

So LSU has a future Heisman trophy winner & #1 overall draft pick?

Lmao it's amazing the conclusions some of you draw. Brandon Harris was graded higher than both Winston and Etling so he should've won 2 Heismans right? I know to some of you everything has to follow an a+b=c formula but sadly for you that's not how reality works.

I don't really give a shite. But I do find it funny that some of you have to bring up his HS recruitment as if that's supposed to boost expectations for Etling two games into the season. Not to mention, you mention him and Jameis Winston within the same breath.

Etling had a season under his belt at LSU already not just 2 games and in that season he had a better passer rating by a wide margin that Matt Flynn in 07. You're the type of fan who'll knock coach O for his recruiting but then turn around and say it means nothing when Etling is brought up.

I think its more that Etling has never played particularly well against a good defense and we are being cautious in our optimism. Anyone who isnt is ill informed at this point

And all 3 were coached by some of the worst QB coaches in NCAA history, Miles and Cameron.

Those guys are as bad as the Miles hater who were rooting for him to fail to justify their belief that he was a bad coach despite his success.

I don't care who the coach is, I root for the Tigers to win!

It's amazing to see the ways you guys will sneak Miles into any topic, even ones he has nothing to do with, so you can take another shot at him.

I think you meant "pessimistic". Never use 7 words when one will do, especially if the one word is more accurate.
