As a starter and the year before he had 5 TD’s and 2 Int’s for the season.

That was in 4 games.

Kinda yeah.

You know who isn’t? Zak Hill. Currently the coach nowhere.

I pulled his stats from last year which was the last time he played.

OK then, Nuss had 2 TDs and 2 picks last year.

JD had 65.7% completion rate compared to Nuss 50.9 %. JD had 7.9 YPA compared to Nuss 5.8 YPA.

I'm just pulling the stats from last year like you

I guess the combination of a poor '21 season and subsequent lackluster spring game at LSU have led to poor impressions of Daniels.

What I see is a big time talent that is the epitome of a dual threat guy. He looks like a true 4.5 guy in pads that can house it on any play. He also has a pretty high completion % that contradicts people's takes that he is a faster running version of Brandon Harris.

If he had not had such a strong freshman season at ASU then I would be skeptical as well.

He did though. A really, really good season for a true freshman. He had some NFL talent around him that year (WR Ayuk was a stud) and he produced accordingly.

Best case scenario, Kelly and Denbrock unlock his skill set in the RPO game, the Oline is better than expected, and the skill talent around him at LSU leads to a freshman year type performance in '22 for Daniels.

I choose to be optimistic until proven otherwise.

Worst case scenario, he struggles with accuracy and/or the team never rallies around him, and you turn it over to Nuss.

I like where LSU sits with those 2 guys.

I don't think he beat out anybody. Kelly just wants a running QB and that won't cut it in the SEC west. One strike on Kelly.

Eh, I think we are perfectly suited to run an offense with a read-option and quick catch and run passes to our elite athlete WRs.

Nuss has worse stats for 2021 btw.

Actually, having the elite WRs we have is perfect in combination with Daniels. Good luck to any defense that thinks they’re going to stack the box and stick their defensive backs on islands across the secondary.

You act like an 8 win season wouldn’t be considered a success. I really like Nuss’s game but his bad decisions could be the reason we’d lose a few games we shouldn’t. If not, the coaches will start Nuss. Trust the staff

You know best who should start at LSU, so understand your are angry. Myles Brennan hasn’t been able to beat anyone out for 6 years but he “deserved it” so again I understand your anger. I’m here for you should you need a shoulder to cry on, as it can be frustrating when coaches think they know better than you. I mean, you played Madden and look at PFF grades so you are qualified as well. It’s a shame the coaches don’t see it that way.

Jayden accounted for 16 TD’s last year. 45 over his 29 games. At ASU, that’s down right spectacular. He had over 3,000 yards and less than a pick a game. 1 for every 30 throws.

I really worry for our fan base sometimes.

Start the guy the gives us the best chance of winning. Bench the guy who isn't cutting it. Doesn't matter to me who it is.
