D1 baseball has lsu has a host site

Lsu moved up 2 spots to the 14 seed. As ive said before the hosting bubble sucks.
A series win keeps us in the drivers seat to host, a sweep and we can lock it up

Been fortunate that other teams have shite the bed as well.
I mentioned to hold that tiger 10 I didn’t think we’d host with a sweep of auburn and win in sec tournament but looks like that’s not the case. Granted, this is just a projection but I’ll roll with it as good news.

I mean I think pretty much every week we stayed in the host predictions. Maybe we dropped out after Missouri? Idk but we have played injured this whole year and have gone positive in the sec West where we have played series against 3 top 8 teams and not been swept once. Very easy for the kind of injuries we had to completely ruin a season but we won enough games to keep us in contention until we got healthy.

We have gone positive in a year the SEC West is the most competitive it’s been in years, while having a third of our putching staff injured. You can talk about us being the standard all you want but that is accomplishing something

Not too surprising. When they projected us as a host last week, I doubt they were projecting us to win the Arkansas series anyway.

Other teams to root against would be baylor, indiana, illinois, uc santa barbara,west virginia, and unc

Yea but ole miss has the 13th ranked SOS while LSU has the 5th. Wouldn’t surprise me if LSU makes it in with a worse schedule by a couple of games

OM plays TN (10) with a better RPI than AU (20). If LSU and OM end the season with identical records and similar RPI. One could argue OM won the series against LSU. It would be best if LSU won one more game than OM this weekend and won as many as OM in the SEC Tournament

Need to win 2 of 3 from Auburn. With the pitchers we have available it will be difficult. Probably have to score at least 6 runs to win.
