4. Gilbert threw 62 pitches, but he isnt a guy they depend on. Broadway threw 38, and he is a guy they depend on. But he should be good by saturday

Went and watched ULM/Ole Miss tonight. Ole Miss wasn't impressive. They won 6-3. Ole Miss scored 3 late. They had a couple guys that swung I well but a lot of swing-and-misses. Ealy can't swing it a lick but oh boy...he has a flippin' cannon! He hosed a dude from LF fence on 1-hop. I told my son, that's the difference between SEC and Sunbelt right there!

Plus the umps were trash in good ol SEC fashion. They awarded Ole Miss a home run in the 1st inning and had a bad missed call at 1st. Ump behind the plate couldn't figure out where his zone was.

I missed 1st inning. Based on what I did see, this weekend may be a low-scoring affair. What were your impressions? I was on the right field line corralling my granddaughter so I didn't watch as intently as I usually would. I was shocked at that throw by Ealy though!

That was a nice play. It would have been a game if that run scores. I wasn't overly impressed with Ole Miss but I don't know what you can really take away from a midweek game. They struck out 8 times but got a couple of clutch hits. Servideo is a skilled little player who looks like a girl and Kramer. Keenan is a bopper.

Haha yeah I told my son that the SS was rockin' his best "Kramer". BTW...looking like Kramer and a girl simultaneously seems amazingly easy for Kramer and Servideo

Glenn Guilbeau is going to be at the Box Friday night wondering where everyone is. Per his column:

Ole Miss is at Louisiana-Monroe for two at 6 p.m. Tuesday and at 4 p.m. Wednesday before coming to LSU.

Would you have preferred Adam Lind?

A combined 28 WAR between those college teammates. That's got to be a Sunbelt record.

ETA: Nevermind, they were a year apart at South Al. But they both played with PJ Walters, who had a career negative 2.4 WAR. Which is sort of impressive in its own right.
