Lipsey credits this great hire directly to the man that many of you criticized. Looks like the Earring was doing work being the scenes. Thank you, Mr. Williams!

quote:

Woodward hire was a smart move (mentions James Williams). When you are planning to make a change, you don't do it until you have your eye on the person you want to sit in the seat. BOS used excellent judgement, focused on person they wanted. It was up to them to negotiate the deal."

quote:

"I did not sit in on the board meeting or get on the phone with the Chairman. 100% of the credit goes to James Williams. I don't want to comment on what they did or didn't promise him (Woodward). When I talked to James he assured me it would be a very attractive package...they would give him lots of leeway.

Maybe the criticism forced him to make a big move. We will never know. Regardless, he deserves credit for this historic move. He executed it flawlessly.

There was also a shite ton of athletic department propaganda and misinformation being disseminated on the board.

Thank you Mr Williams.

BOS collectively woke up and listened to the fan feedback and never underestimate social media and electronic transmissions of opinions.

BOS rose up AS A BODY, whether JW was the mover and shaker, I am not sure that is important. The BOS moved as a team and LSU benefited.

Now the BOS has to look at overall leadership and make an overarching decision.

Oh, this board told me that he was friends with JBE and connected to the Missouri fiasco so he was automatically a threat to democracy and our state. I'm glad that was cleared up.

I didn't know much about him or why people were giving him shite outside of the earring thing.

But he has a pretty impressive resume.

He chose an unpopular skin pigmentation for many on this board and, to make matters worse, does not support Pres. Trump. This was adequate cause for many here to slander him.

The fact is our administration especially the Board deserves to be lauded for their bold, swift action and that certainly includes Williams.

Yes, the same board that has spent months roasting two old white men to force their removal has chosen to target James Williams simply because he was black.

The fact is he became another target because of his position. He appears to have made a bold and popular decision. I think we’re all very happy to be wrong.

Maybe you missed the part of my post about Williams' politics, Swagga. Remember, JBE also got hammered by the same posters who slandered Williams, and JBE isn't black, either.

You're absolutely correct.

I am quite fond of many folks among all ethnicities, and I also dislike some folks among all ethnicities.

Because YOU brought race into this, I am certain you are a racist. Look up the definition. It is YOU to a T.

I don't think anyone did any "work" to get Woodward here. Apparently, Woodward was waiting for this opportunity, and he got it. And Alleva was fired because of the public pressure, specifically that of the donors.

So as much as I'm glad for the changes that have happened so far, I'm not dumb enough to pretend that there aren't still people who need to go, and that the BOS is hereby exonerated for letting things get to the point where it finally boiled over.
