This is being handled exactly like it should be. On business terms and with no drama.

Honestly if what is said is true, I am honestly happy with both parties handling it well.

Thanks for 2019 O

Strange feeling to see LSU handling this in an orderly manner.

Agreed. I also think this being official wipe away any negatives within the program amongst staff and players. They all know they are playing with a blank slate now looking towards their next employer and head coach. Everyone is on equal footing.

Absolutely. Turns out, the guy really does love LSU. This will go a long way in how his legacy here is framed.

Nicely handled by LSU. Hate to see it for Orgeron, he is an interesting and entertaining character who certainly loves LSU, but I can understand the reasons why.

In a somewhat similar situation, we got rid of Chizik. He still lives in Auburn and is a well-liked member of the community. He's got a ring and a gig he likes and does well at on the SECN. These things don't have to be contentious.

Huge props to O for this. The professionalism and maturity of this move is going to reflect very well on him when we look back at this.

No they don’t and I’m glad they weren’t. The similarities between Chizik and Orgeron are incredible. I expect Orgeron will be around LSU and Baton Rouge in the same way Chizik is in Auburn.

Pumping the breaks here.
This was good timing and a clean break.
But what did we have to pay?
It will become clearer soon.
It's possible neither Ed nor Scott were exactly heroic if we paid Ed the full 17 million to stop showing up for work.
I am glad we have a resolution without burning the place down.

It now becomes less relevant when not tied to the future of the head coach. Without that added pressure, the team and staff can enjoy the rest of the season. It might just end up improving the record, but the light at the end of the tunnel is clearly visible either way.
